Dr Kent Thames, 1984 graduate of Tuskegee Institute, founded Thames Veterinary Service in 1989. Large Animal medicine has been his passion from day one and continues to this day. Dr Thames and his wife Amy have worked side by side since their marriage in 1988. When the occasional free time happens, they enjoy working their Hereford cattle, riding horses, attending Church together and working around the farm.
Dr Lyndsay Gooch graduated 2026 from Auburn University. Dr Lyndsay’s focus is on Large Animal Medicine with a passion for Cattle and Small Ruminants. She loves the diversity of adding Equine Medicine in her days. Dr Lyndsay and her husband Gaven own and operate Gooch Farms in Heath Springs, SC. That’s where you will find her spending her time away from the Clinic.
Emma Currie—Our Lead Veterinary Assistant. Emma graduated from Clemson University in Equine Business and Nutrition. Emma has been around horses her whole life and is great at handling them. Her passion is Equine Nutrition and is capable of formulating nutritional plans for each horse. Outside of her work her, Emma competes on her horses in Jumping and Dressage.
